Dr Minoli Abeysekera is a dedicated consultant Endocrinologist who understands that each patient is unique. She uses her expertise to provide you with the most effective, personalised care with a caring and warm approach.
Dr Abeysekera graduated from the University of New South Wales with Class 1 Honours. She completed her specialist training in Endocrinology at Nepean and Concord Repatriation General Hospitals. She holds a Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. She has also completed a Master of Medicine (Metabolic Health) to further her interests. Dr Abeysekera was working at Nepean Hospital and in private practice in Sydney, but chose to leave the big smoke to move to Orange to serve the Central West community.
She is now working at Orange Hospital and in private practice based in Orange. She hopes to use her expertise to improve the health outcomes and quality of life of the community.
Dr Abeysekera will manage a broad range of endocrine issues including all forms of diabetes, weight loss difficulties, thyroid and parathyroid conditions, endocrine issues in pregnancy, osteoporosis, and adrenal and pituitary disorders. Dr Abeysekera looks forward to working collaboratively with you to provide high quality personalised care to improve your health and wellbeing.

Please call us on 02 5350 4690 or email us at reception@drminoliabeysekera.com.au to provide your referral letter. Once this has been received, your appointment will be triaged and you will be contacted to discuss a suitable appointment date and time.
We are a private billing specialist clinic. Consultation fees vary depending on the type of appointment, and will be discussed with you at the time of booking your appointment. A referral letter and Medicare card is required to receive an eligible Medicare rebate. Where possible, we will lodge your Medicare rebate electronically on your behalf after your appointment.
Due to our small reception space, we are using a pre-payment system to keep our clinic running efficiently. A pre-payment will be required for the lowest possible fee for your appointment type which must be paid at least 72 hours prior to your appointment via a secure payment portal. If you are experiencing any issues with this, please contact our clinic on 5301 6525 who will assist you.
Please bring your referral letter, Medicare card, concession and/or DVA card, a medication list and all relevant investigations (eg. blood test results, ultrasound results etc).
Telehealth services are typically not offered.
Please contact us via phone or email as soon as possible if you wish you reschedule or cancel your appointment to allow others the opportunity for a review. If you need to reschedule your appointment, your pre-payment will be used for your next appointment. If you cancel your appointment within 24 hours or you do not attend without advanced notice, then the pre-payment will be forfeited and a pre-payment will be required at the time of re-booking. If you cancel with over 48 hours of notice, then we will issue a full refund.

When you register as a patient of our practice, you provide consent for our doctors and practice staff to access and use your personal information so they can provide you with the best possible healthcare. Only staff who need to see your personal information will have access to it. If we need to use your information for anything else, we will seek additional consent from you to do this.

Our practice stores all personal information securely. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse and loss from unauthorized access, modification or disclosure. This includes: strong password protection of electronic format records stored in Australia, access to personal information on a ‘need to know’ basis, and confidentiality agreements for staff and contractors.
You have the right to request access to, and correction of, your personal information.
Our practice acknowledges that patients may request access to their medical records. We require you to put this request in writing to the Practice Manager and Dr Minoli Abeysekera who will respond within 30 days. An administration fee may be charged for providing this information.
Our practice will take reasonable steps to correct your personal information where the information is not accurate or up-to-date. From time-to-time, we will ask you to verify your personal information held by our practice is correct and current. You may also request that we correct or update your information, and you should make such requests in writing to the Practice Manager and Dr Minoli Abeysekera.
We take complaints and concerns regarding privacy seriously. You should express any privacy concerns you may have in writing. We will then attempt to resolve it in accordance with our resolution procedure within 30 days. Please send your request in writing to the Practice Manager and Dr Minoli Abeysekera.
